According to the tradition, European Buffet was planned for Saturday the 8th December. It has been a well-established tradition now that each of the schools is doing its best to present the other participants a wide and interesting variety of specialities, which would attract their attention and satisfy their tastes.
From an early morning individual delegations, accompanied by the host students were appointed to prepare their dishes for the evening European Buffet. And even though the stress was unavoidable the atmosphere was fantastic.
According to the itinerary at 4 o'clock p.m. the holy mass was to take place at the local church under the name of Christ the Redeemer.
Once again the soldiers from the Military Academy named after Stefan Czarniecki were ready to help, there was even an orchestra of 48 musicians all dressed in gala uniforms. The mass was said by priest Wojciech Lawniczak the parish rector, accompanied by the orchestra and the teenage choir: "Seeds", beautifully conducted by Mrs Dorota Czerwinska. The national standards carried by the students were surrounding the altar and made a lovely decoration of the church. Many participants were of an opinion that this holy mass was an important moment of the whole event uniting all delegates, regardless of their religious orientation.
At the end of the ceremony the parade of the cavalrymen, soldiers with the torches and the orchestra marched back to the Academy and even though it was really cold nobody complained and the whole parade brought a bit of entertainment for the onlookers observing it from their windows.
Some time later Roman Dawid Tauber had yet one more attraction for his guests. He invited the world champion bartender Mr Eugeniusz Dydko, who performed a short but spectacular show, presenting his professional skills.
Later on there was an opening of the European Buffet which has been so rich in various meats, fish and pates that each and everyone of the participants could easily find something which would fully satisfy his or her individual taste.
