INTERNSHIP PROGRAM SUMMER 2007

We are in the fortunate position of welcoming you to the Tourism and Hospitality world of P.A.P Corp. We are a family owned Hotel group, with exclusive ownership of 3 Summer Resort Hotels in the famous Greek Tourism destination of Halkidiki and a city hotel in Thessaloniki, Northern Greece.

Part of the Hotel Group is also the established Hotel & Restaurant Management School, HOTELIA, which is at the latest venture of P.A.P Corp. At the moment P.A.P Hotels and HOTELIA HRM School is in the process of expanding their networks with other Tourism & Hospitality Management Schools across the globe.

In that direction, we would like to introduce you our Hotel premises and our HRM School, with the intention of establishing a mutual beneficial relationship with our academic institution. Our vision is to take advantage of the potential synergies that can be experienced when academic institutions from different countries and cultural backgrounds decide to collaborate on ideas and know-how exchange through the one and most important factor in the tourism industry, namely human interaction!


Tourism is far from solely the biggest economic activity in the world. It includes a series of cultural and social dimensions that make working within the industry one of the most  interesting  and challenging  tasks that an executive can face.

Part of our philosophy is  understanding how tourism professionals workin different parts of the world, and for that  reason we are particularly encouraging student and  faculty exchange with a number of academic Institutions from Europe and America.

Visiting Greece is an experience that will follow you throughout the rest of your life! Seeing with your own eyes the place where the modern Western civilization was born is a unique experience! Once in Greece, you will have the chance to visit some of the most remarkable places of this planet, places full of meaning and history. You will get the chance to experience what it feels like to see ancient history to meet modern civilization, and experience first hand a country whose journey started more than 3000 years ago and has developed to a modern European state. You will get the chance to welcome visitors from all over the world, and work in the area where Alexander the Great and Socrates were born.

But Greece is also famous, for its unique beaches, its intense nightlife, it s tasteful and full of variety Mediterranean cuisine and of course, the friendliness and unique sense of hospitality of its people. These are some of the reasons why visitors from all over the world, travel to Greece, and you will get the chance to welcome them and experience Greece from the inside, ensuring this way for lifelong memories and experiences. 
Pursuing an Internship at one of the P.A.P Hotels 

Having already in established a successful internship program for Hospitality and Tourism students from famous academic institutions such as the U.S. Johnson and Wales University, the French LAVAL ECOLE and the AUSTRIAN FH JOANNEUM, we are in the pleasant position of informing you that after the immense success of these internships programs, that are already running for 5 consequent years, we are now presenting these to other Tourism & Hospitality Schools around the world. What these means is that your students will have the possibility to pursue their internship at one of our Hotels premises, working within one of the most dynamic companies at a well-developed tourism destination, such as Halkidiki, Greece.

Internship Working Conditions   

Internships at P.A.P Corp. Hotels are normally available from May until the end of September, and usually last for 2 to 3 months. Thus, individual arrangements can be made with the P.A.P Corp. Human Resource Manager and the Hotelia Internship Coordinator, if a student desires for any individual arrangements. Internships at P.A.P Corp. are paid.   The 2006 average monthly salary for 22 working days was approx. 250 Euro. Students that undertake one of the internship programs internship programs at P.A.P hotels are granted staff food & accommodation for the whole period of the internship as well as 2 days off per week. The working conditions, privileges and obligations are exactly the same as those for the  permanent hotel staff, (staff discounts, participation in educational seminars etc) which means that the student will very soon after the beginning of the Internship period become and feel as a fully functional member of the hotel staff. This is also one of the most rewarding experiences that a student undertaking an internship at P.A.P Corp. can have!

VISA arrangements

Students with an EU citizenship do not require any special arrangements for undertaking an internship in Greece.  For non-EU students, willing to undertake an internship in Greece, please consult the Greek Embassy of your country, for any visa arrangements or requirements. Pls. note that for an internship in Greece obtaining a tourist visa is required. For the 3 month period of the Internship a tourist visa is adequate.

Travel arrangements

The student is responsible for arranging his / her travel to and from Greece and their transport to the hotel premise. The Human Resource Department can help make individual arrangements in order to assist the internees in safely arriving at the hotel. Once arrived at the hotel premises all the necessary information packages will be provided and a guided tour through the hotel premises will take place. Feeling part of the team from day one is one of the most important factors for a successful internships, thus we place immense value on the physical as well as social well-being of the visiting student.
