FINE EVENINGS IN SENIGALLIA
AT THE EXCELSIOR ON FRIDAY DECEMBER 12TH
The teams from the IPSSARCT A. Panzini also laid on with great aplomb the evening meals in the various restaurants planned by the organisers. Thus the hotel Excelsior provided the venue for the evening buffet on the day of the arrival of the delegations. And the arrival of the members of the managing committee, led by the president, was greeted, as is fitting, by enthusiastic applause.

The splendid buffet laid out in the dining room of the
‘base camp’, the hotel Excelsior.
AT THE ‘MIU- MIU’ ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 13TH
It took half an hour by bus to reach the ‘Miu-Miu’, a night club to the north of Senigallia. This was a place which set the tone for the evening as soon as you crossed the threshold, with a glass of wine and ‘amuse-gueules’ followed by a delicious dinner served with panache, like all the others, by the students. This was a real recital of Italian specialities offered by the school’s chefs. The role-call of the delegations was another of those emotion-charged moments, as was the bringing on of the champagne, the frantic farandole and the standing ovation for the kitchen and service teams called in to the dining room to take their bow.

Partial view of the dining room.

The roasted calf is shown off to the diners before being carved.

Glasses are raised at the president’s table!

Enthusiastic applause for the chefs and the students.
Mission accomplished!
AT THE POMODORO ON MONDAY DECEMBER 15TH
Two kilometres from the Excelsior, the ‘Pomodoro’ pizzeria was host to all the Christmas in Europe guests for a supremely Italian evening, thanks to several specialities served, as usual, by the students. This evening the atmosphere became more and more charged thanks to the energy of the Polish camp, who were in really great shape! For the journey home certain diehards chose to walk back in high winds, while most people preferred to take the bus. But everyone arrived safely back home – that is at the Hotel Excelsior – at about the same time!

In the Polish camp, spirits are high.

Everyone applauds everyone else – another great evening …
